A main mission of the Florida Association of Women Lawyers (FAWL) is to actively promote gender equality and the leadershp roles of women lawyers in the legal profession, judiciary and community at large.  In accordance with this mission, Miami-Dade FAWL invited all governmental agencies, law firms and corporate legal departments in the Miami-Dade county to join its Challenge to promote women's leadership in the legal profession.  The Challenge further recognizes that without a focused effort from the leadership of law firms, the advancement of women into leadership potisitions in our community will continue to progress at rates inconsistent with the number of women who have entered the profession.
